This pantry buffet cost me $5,500 to build—
but hiring it out would’ve been over $15,000, plus all the trades I’d need: HVAC, drywall, paint, and custom cabinet install.

Instead, I planned the layout, ordered RTA cabinets, assembled and installed them myself, stained the countertop, and added shelves.

Yes, it was work.
Yes, it took me several days.
Yes, I’d do it again!

So yeah, goodbye fiberglass tub—hello DIY walk-in shower, new floors, vanity, paint, toilet, mirrors… basically everything will get touched.

This bathroom is going from builder-basic to spa-like bliss… and I’m remodeling every inch of it myself.
Here’s how I’m blending modern, natural, and classic design to create a space that’s not only beautiful—but functional and timeless, too:
💧 The vibe: I wanted a calm, transitional look—so I kept the walls white and layered in a soft blue/gray wallpaper that feels soothing without being too cool or trendy.
🩵 The vanity:
This fluted wood vanity is the heart of the room.
    •    Curved edges soften the space
    •    Furniture-style feet lift it off the floor
    •    Wide drawers and built-in shelving make organizing easy
    •    The white quartz top keeps it clean and modern
🪞 The mirrors:
These arched mirrors tie in perfectly with the vanity’s curves—and bonus, they tilt up, which is amazing for my tall husband.
🚿 The tile:
I used classic white 3"x12" shower tile but gave it a fresh twist by mixing vertical and horizontal patterns. Paired with marble floors, it’s clean, classic, and a little unexpected.
🧡 The brass:
From the faucets to the mirrors and hardware, the warm brass adds just the right amount of classic elegance—but the modern shapes keep it feeling current. I chose widespread 3-hole faucets for a more elevated, custom look.
🌿 The details:
    •    Subtle geometric wallpaper creates just enough pattern behind the vanity without overwhelming the space
    •    Wood blinds tie back to the vanity and bring in natural warmth

Don’t pay for expensive colored glass! Here’s an easy DIY hack to create your own beautiful stained glass candle holders:
✨ Mix 1 part Mod Podge + 1 part water + a few drops of food coloring to get the perfect shade.
✨ Let it dry for approximately 1 hour.
✨ To remove the color, simply wash off with soap and warm water.

I was desperate for storage but didn’t want a boring medicine cabinet... Problem solved! 💡 I removed the mirror and added a frame, giving me the storage I need and a stylish upgrade. 🙌🏼 The secret? I located the studs and set the medicine cabinet right in the stud bay for a seamless, built-in look. Would you try this in your space?
